How to deposit an e-transfer

All transfers come into the OGHC@oldgracehousingcoop.ca account. We do not ask for passwords so they are usually deposited directly. Sometimes a person does put a password on a deposit and it has to be manually accepted. Normally Laura will forward these emails to the treasurer. While I am out of town they should be forwarded to Tara.

The OGHC@oldgracehousingcoop.ca address will receive an email with a subject line that looks like this:

There should also be a separate email from this person with the answer to the security question associated with this deposit. If you cannot find one, send the person an email asking for the answer. Once you have the answer, open the email above.

When you do that, you will see this:

Click on the ACU logo:

This will take you to the ACU sign in page.

You then have to sign in using your user name and password.

You will then be able to deposit the cheque, following the various prompts.

There will be a security question that is set by the person who is making the payment. Do not start the process until you know the answer to this question.

You will have to select an account: the default is Transit Account Community Builder Cheq. That is the correct one to use.

There is a spot to write a message. I generally write “Thank you.”

Follow the process through to completion. At one point there is a pane that shows you all the details but you have to hit a confirm button.

When the process is done there is an option to print or download a receipt. Please download, naming the PDF with the name of the person and the date of deposit. Please email to treasurer@oldgracehousingcoop.ca.

Finally, go back into the original email and open it again.

Please keep a record of the day that you received the payment, who it was from and the amount. At the end of the month email the record to the treasurer.
