Many of us have donated items for our shared use. Our working committees that have requested and accepted donations will be communicating in the not-too-distant future about when, how and where your donations can be delivered.
Moving Day Committee
We are looking for helpers to work on the Moving Day Committee. One or two committee members will be on-site whenever there is a move. We are looking for people to:
- meet the families and their movers;
- be available for the duration of the move in the co-op office (or your own suite if you’ve taken possession);
- answer questions;
- issue keys when necessary;
- direct traffic.
With 60 households on the move, the more volunteers we have, the fewer times each committee member will have to volunteer. Sound like fun? Please contact Randa Stewart at email@example.com.
House Plant Committee
Plans are underway to add beauty and colour to our community spaces. Many of us have beautiful houseplants that may not work in our new suites. So, this is a chance to bring them with you and help make our shared spaces feel like home.
We are looking for plants of all sizes: large, medium and small. We are also hoping to establish an orchid and tropical plant garden in the lovely eastern exposure that our library affords.
If you have plants you would like to donate, please send a picture of each, together with its name (either common or scientific) to Francene at firstname.lastname@example.org before February 15. We’d also appreciate care information if you have that.
Woodblocks, stumps, and stools all make interesting and useful plant stands! Please consider saving these and other interesting objects as you prepare for your move. Traditional plant stands are also welcome.
After the February 15 deadline, our committee will review all offers and determine which plants and stands we can accommodate. We will respond to all offers by March 1, whether or not your donation can be used. Plants we cannot use may also be donated to the Plant Sale we are hoping to hold to raise money for our indoor gardens.
A big thank you to all who generously donated toward our Maintenance list. Delivery arrangements to follow soon.
