Old Grace Housing Co-operative has signed sponsorship agreements with two agencies working with refugee and immigrant households.

These sponsorship agreements with Mennonite Central Committee Manitoba and All Saints Anglican Church will provide four newcomer households with safe, secure, affordable housing in our co-op. They also serve to strengthen the co-op’s financial stability.

During the OGHC’s initial planning stages, we were told by several agencies working with refugee and newcomer families of the difficulties that these families encounter in finding suitable housing.  In response to these concerns, we included four four-bedroom suites in our plans.

Mennonite Central Committee Manitoba is sponsoring the shares for three of the co-op’s four-bedroom suites, and All Saints Anglican Church is sponsoring the fourth.

We welcome the partnership with organizations that have long records of support to these communities.
