4. Type of Housing

Affordable: If you do not have children and your total household income in the most recent tax year is under $67,900 you qualify for Affordable Housing.

If you have dependent children and the total household income is less than $90,500 you qualify for Affordable Housing.

Occupancy is restricted to one bedroom per resident.

Affordable Housing with Rent Supplement (RS)*: You must qualify for the provincial Rent Supplement Program. Occupancy restrictions apply.

Total household incomes must be under:

$44,000 for a 1 bedroom; $55,500 for a 2 bedroom; $58,000 for a 3 bedroom.

* We are currently unable to offer RS to Friends due to an internal wait list. If you qualify for RS but would consider a suite without RS, please check both the “Affordable” and the “Affordable with Rent Supplement” options below.

Applicants who qualify for Affordable Housing (with or without RS) may be eligible for some financial assistance with the cost of Affordable member shares.

Market Housing: If your total household income is higher than the Affordable Housing Limits you would be purchasing Member Shares at the Market Housing cost.
