Old Grace Housing Co-op members will start moving in on the week of March 19.
To facilitate this, the co-op has obtained a City of Winnipeg permit that reserves the 40-metres on Arlington Street directly south of Preston for the use of moving trucks. The reserved area will be marked by signs.
The permit will be in effect until the end of April. Moving vehicles may also be parking on Preston and Evanson. However, no spaces are being reserved for them.
Old Grace Housing Co-operative will soon start construction of four three-bedroom townhouses.
The development will be located at the north-west corner of the intersection of Evanson Street and Preston Avenue. It is kitty-corner to the main 60-unit Old Grace Housing Co-operative (built on the site of the original Grace Hospital). All four townhouses are reserved for individuals who meet Manitoba Housing income- and household-size criteria.
Construction is expected to commence in spring 2018 with occupancy in autumn 2018.
