REOI Application Day!

Harry, Shirley and George (left to right) submit OGHC’s application for REOI.

After months of focused work, the co-op’s application for Expression of Interest for the Development and Operations Management of Housing at the Old Grace Hospital Site was handed in this morning by Shirley, George and Harry.
Thanks to our committees, consultants, partners and of course members for your work and patience through the expression of interest process! Now, it’s up to Manitoba Housing to decide on our project!

Collective Design Process for Old Grace Housing Co-operative

As part of the CDP workshop given by our architect Dudley Thompson of Prairie Architects on November 22nd, 2014, the Old Grace Housing Co-operative would like to share its Collective Design Process Document and Working Plans publicly.

The CDP exercise took place with 8 separate groups, each made up of a random mix of members, Wolseley residents, supporters and other stakeholders. Groups were facilitated by Old Grace members and were asked to complete a workbook of options related to the neighbourhood preferences, membership (ie. potential resident’s use) context, and the makeup of the site. Although general, the analysis comments will show, some clear preferences and mandates emerge from this design process.

Please find the CDP Document and Working Plans here.

Over 70 Old Grace Housing Co-op members, interested neighbours of the Old Grace Hospital site, and representatives of community organizations gathered to discuss future plans and possibilities for redevelopment of the site. Input from the workshop will guide Prairie Architects and the co-op project team in the next stages of project design and development.
